I love a good podcast. I listen to them when I work out. When I’m doing the dishes. When I’m driving. And even when I’m just hanging around the house. Like me, podcasts have become a listening staple for many adults, but did you know that there are oodles of awesome podcasts for kids?
There are. Lots in fact.
Podcasts can be total game changers when it comes to listening time with children! Out with the Trolls soundtrack when stuck in Friday afternoon traffic. In with fun and often educational podcasts that will dazzle and engage you and your little passengers! You might not even mind the extra time it takes getting home because you are in the middle of a great story or learning about how your brain creates memories!
Podcasts have also been an awesome alternative to screen time in our house. When my daughter needs some down time to just relax, we now opt more for letting her listen to a podcast while she relaxes on the couch versus turning on the television. They engage her imagination and auditory learning. I will often see her wander off in the middle of a podcast, inspired to play or create something!
